The Dell Cloud for US Government was designed from the ground up to provide customers with a thorough compliance framework. The Dell solution offers Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) options to create private and hybrid cloud environments as well as secure, public, and multi-tenant cloud environments. These offers are required to meet specific needs, perform quickly, and maximize efficiency. Dell also created hundreds of security controls ensuring their service is protected and secured for their customer’s safety and satisfaction, including attaining an Authority to Operate in numerous different environments. Dell recognized that this solution required a powerful Cloud Manager that could undoubtedly meet certification requirements in both single and multi-tenant environments while offering the same intuitive interface and flexible cloud management architecture.

“We’ve applauded the US government’s recent effort to increase cloud adoption while also addressing key agency concerns – especially as they relate to security. At Dell, we worked to make sure our government customers are able to not only adopt cloud solutions that meet their standards, but meet enterprise-class performance standards that they should expect from cloud solutions,” said George Newstrom, Vice President and General Manager, Dell Services, U.S. Public Sector. “Government customers shouldn’t have to make a choice between solutions compliant to their standards and those that will meet or even boost the performance they’ve come to expect from their IT – we think with the Dell Cloud for U. S. Government they won’t have to make that choice.  We’re excited to be working with CloudBolt Software and making use of C2, their innovative Cloud Manager, in this solution.”

“Government agencies have been taking different approaches to achieve the promise of on-demand access to secure computing resources,” John Menkart, CEO, CloudBolt Software said.  “We’re excited to be working with Dell to provide Dell Cloud for US Government customers with a Cloud Manager that allows them maximum capability while still adhering to the security controls Dell has put into place.  The Dell team has built an excellent solution that will change how Government organizations access resources, and we’re proud to be a part of it.”

Designed to meet the stringent Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) approval process as well as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 criteria while helping to meet cloud commitments outlined by the U.S. Chief Information Officer, the Dell Cloud for U.S. Government offers both single and multi-tenant environments. The Dell Cloud for U.S. Government will allow government customers to leverage a powerful and flexible platform that will help them to do more with less in today’s challenging budget environment.
